Meaning of malala - Grief stricken
She is known for human rights advocacy especially the education of women and children in her native swat valley in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northwest Pakistan, were the local Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Her advocacy has grown into an international movement, according to former Pakistani Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi. She has become " the most prominent citizen" of the country.

In early 2009, when she was 11-12, she wrote blog under a Pseudonym for the BBC Urdu detailing her life during the Taliban occupation of swat.
The following summer journalist Adam B. Ellick made a New York Times documentary about her life as the pakistani military intervened in the region. She rose in prominence giving interviews in print and on television and she was nominated for the international Children's Peace Prize by activist Desmond Tutu.
Deutsche Welle reported in january 2013 that Yousafzai have become "the most famous teenager" in the world.

In October 2011, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, a South African activist, nominated Yousafzai for the international Chindren's Peace Prize of the dutch international childrens advocacy group, kids rights foundation. She was first Pakistani girl to be nominated for the award.
She was awarded Pakistan's first National youth peace Prize two months later in December on 19 December 2011, Prime Yousaf Raza Gillani awarded her the National Piece Award for youth.

Yousafzai became a prominent activist for the Right to Education. Based in Barmingham, She co-foundered the malala fund, a non profit organization with Siza Shahid.

In 2013 - co-othered 'I am Malala' on international best seller.
In 2012 - She was the recepient of Pakistan's first national Youth Piece Prize and 2013 Sakhrov prize.
In 2014 - She was the recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize along with Kailash Satyarthi of India.
✔ At the age of 17, She was the youngest ever Nobel Prize laureate.
2015 - Yousafzai was a subject of the oscar shortlisted documentry. He Named me Malala.

💥 Malala Fund 💥
Malala fund is an international, non profit organization that fights for girl's education. It was co-founded by Malala Yoisafzai.
The first contribution to Malala fund in 2013 came from Angelina jolie who gave $200,000 personal donation, which was used to fund girls education where Malala's from in pakistan's swat valley.
In 2017 Malala fund significantlly expanded investment projects that newsweek described as education advocacy programs run by local people. The kind Yousafzai and her father led when they lived in Pakistan and will disburse upto $10 million a year over the next decade.
In 2018 Apple Inc. Partnered with malala fund to expansion to India and Latin America and provide technology, curriculum assistance and policy research with a goal of educating more than 1,00,000 girls. In addition, a connection will be established in Brazil with the Apple Devloper Academy.

According to a spokesman from Nielsen Book Research, This book is sold 287,170 copies in Britan with total value of about 2.2 million pounds and over 1.8 million copies worldwide.
