     Oprah Winfrey's first name was Spelled orpah. She was born in koiciusko, Mississippi to an unmarried teenage mother. Her mother vernito lee was a housemaid. After Winfrey's birth, her Mother traveled north and winfrey spent her first six years in rural poverty with her maternal grandmother. Her grandmother was so poor.

Starting Career to till now...

Oprah's first job as teenager was working at a local grocery store. At the age of 17, Winfrey won the Miss black Tennessce beauty pageant.

In 1993, Winfrey hosted a rare Part-time interview with Michael Jackson, which become the forth most watched event in American Television as well as the most watched interview ever, which an audience of 36.5 million.
